Friday, January 25-Saturday, January 26

Festival Luna
American Museum of Natural History
12 pm-6 pm
In honor of the upcoming Lunar New Year, the American Museum of Natural History invites all to a festival celebrating the moon. This two-day event will feature live music from Paul Yeon Lee and the New York Korean Traditional Marching Band, a cooking demo by wok chef Grace Young, a performance from Chinese Theatre Works, and more. Free with museum admission.

Saturday, January 26

Winter Jam NYC
Central Park
11 am-3 pm
Head to Central Park for Winter Jam NYC, the Parks Department’s annual winter sports fest. Activities include snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding clinics for beginners, a Quidditch tutorial and match, animal tracking lessons from the Urban Park Rangers, and live entertainment. Plus, this year Petco is sponsoring a Doggie Snow Zone where dogs can enjoy a Doggie Snow Park, a Doggie Treat Bar, and a Treat Bag Giveaway. Free. Event is rain, snow, or shine. Equipment provided free of charge or bring your own.

Saturday, January 26-Sunday, January 27

10-Foot Cops Exhibit Opening Weekend
Children’s Museum of Manhattan
10 am-5 pm
Join the Children’s Museum of Manhattan for the opening weekend of their new exhibit 10-Foot Cops: The NYPD’s Mounted Unit. The New York City Police Museum and CMOM have teamed up to give families an inside look at the police force’s mounted unit. The exhibit features over 40 original artifacts, a replica of an NYPD horse stable, short films about the unit, a photo op, and more. This weekend, kids can decorate (and take home) a real horse shoe and make a mechanical horse. Free with museum admission.

Not sure where to send your child to camp this summer? Stop by one of our Camp Fairs to learn all there is to know about local summer camps. Representatives from over 40 camps will be in attendance to answer your questions. Camps include 92nd Street Y, Asphalt Green Day Camp, Dwight Summer Camp, Kutsher’s Sports Academy, and others. RSVP is required.

Plugged in Band

Aviator Sports Summer Day Camp

<p>Aviator Sports Summer Day Camp offers five daily rotating activities such as swimming, ice skating gymnastics, rock climbing, parkour, indoor/outdoor turf, and courts plus more in its ample 175,000 sq. ft. facility and 35-acre outdoor area. Aviator Summer Camp also offers off-site and on-site field trips such as a day at Green Meadows Farm, Launch Trampoline Park, and a Brooklyn Cyclones game. The summer camp runs from 9 am-5 pm with early drop off and late stay available. Bus transportation is also available throughout Brooklyn. Lunch and an afternoon snack are included. Sign up by February 28th to receive up to $300 off camp with early bird discounts.</p>
