My good friend, Sophie used to make bread all the time and I always envied her for it. I never understood how she had time to make the most delicious breads while also balancing work, life, etc… She told me that it was a lot easier than I thought and you ultimately got more for your money. When it comes to making dinner, especially for large groups, ‘inexpensive’ and ‘easy’ are too of my favorite words.
November 17th marks National Homemade Bread Day, and I’m going to follow Sophie’s lead and rise (no pun intended) to the challenge. What better way to impress your guests this holiday season than telling them you made your bread from scratch?
