Who Has “Happy Feet?”

Greetings! New York Family would like to invite you to
a special screening of “Happy Feet” – special because it’s a chance for you and
your children to share a great Saturday morning while supporting a wonderful
organization that helps families afford adoptions. —

Please take a minute to get to know Helpusadopt.org, and
its inspiring founder—NYC mom Becky Fawcett. Since its launch in 2007, they have helped to build 50 families with $360,000 in
awarded adoption grants. And will be rewarding another $60,000 in December of
this year. Think of the joy behind those numbers and think about how you can
help.

Details: Helpusadopt.org’s Annual Family Fun Day at the Movies
will take place on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9:30–Noon, at Clearview Cinemas,
at 400 East 62nd
Street (First
Avenue). The screening of “Happy Feet” will begin at 10,
and there will be other entertainment and kid-fun at the
theater.

Those of you who have adopted, or have friends who have
adopted, know what an emotionally tumultuous and expensive journey it can be. Helpusadopt.org helps both couples and
individuals (regardless of race,
religion, gender, ethnicity, marital status or sexual orientation) with the cost
of their adoptions by awarding grants up to $15,000. They support domestic,
international and foster care adoptions and do not charge applicants to
apply.

World of Discovery Day Camp

Over 30 Years of Summer Day Camp Fun &amp; Excitement in Bayside, Queens! For kids ages 4 to 15.&nbsp; An Adventure A Day...&nbsp; At World of Discovery Summer Day Camp of Bayside, Queens, NY summertime is a season for children to expand their horizons, explore new territories, and discover new and exciting things about themselves. Whether the children are enrolled in the Discovery Sports Academy or the Discovery Summer Day Camp, they build new skills, discover new things, make new friends, and realize a new found confidence. &nbsp; Through our structured programming, campers are encouraged to participate and excel in those activities that interest them the most. Trail Blazers

Since 1887, Trail Blazers&rsquo; programs have been where campers connect to nature, make new friends, and create life-long memories. From Grades PreK-10, there is a day or overnight adventure for your camper. Registration is currently open for farmstead, rock climbing, canoeing, biking, and backpacking adventures. We&rsquo;ll leave the screens at home for a summer full of learning about our environment and building skills, guided by staff from all over the world! BAX Brooklyn Arts Exchange

Our School Breaks Arts Programs offer enriching and fun opportunities for young students during their time away from school. The President&rsquo;s Week, Spring Break and Summer Arts Programs foster creativity, encourage exploration, and provide a positive and nurturing environment. Drawing on BAX&rsquo;s year-round education programs, students explore different disciplines throughout the week (including circus, dance, music, theater, tumbling, and visual arts), while balancing fun creative play activities throughout the day/week. BAX also offers daylong intensive Master Classes for young artists ages 10-14 that coincide with the Spring Break Arts Program. These exciting classes provide students with an opportunity to explore BAX&rsquo;s signature Theater, Modern Dance, and AcroBAX tumbling programming with BAX Faculty. Students are expected to have prior experience with their chosen discipline (minimum of two prior classes). &nbsp;
