Meet your favorite local authors and illustrators at the eighth annual Brooklyn Children’s Book Fair at the Brooklyn Museum. The fair will feature a variety of storybooks, picture books, graphic novels, and for the first time, books for young adults. More than 30 Brooklyn authors and illustrators will read their books in the museum’s Rubin Pavilion. Manxmouse: The Mouse Who Knew No Fear at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts
The Dutch theater company Theatergroep Kwatta will present their adaptation of Paul Gallico’s children’s novel Manxmouse this Sunday at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts. This one-hour production, which won the 2014 International Performing Arts For Youth Victor Award, tells the tale of Manxmouse as he goes on a journey of self-discovery. Theatergroep Kwatta will amaze and delight with their use of everyday objects as props in this theatrical performance that teaches audience members to embrace our differences. (Sunday) -
