Weekend Planner: February 25-27

From your children’s favorite characters coming alive on stage to eco-friendly gardening workshops to a great event that focuses on women in sports, there’s tons of fun to be had in the city this weekend. We’re especially excited about "Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale," at the NYU Skirball Center, the kick-off of Gustafer Yellowgold’s "Infinity Sock" musical at the DR2 Theatre, the "Paper That Grows" workshop at Wave Hill, the "Girl Power: Fifth Annual Women and Girls In Sports Day" at the Chelsea Recreation Center, "Princess and the Pea" at Galli’s Fairytale Theater, and the Dr. Seuss celebration at Fort Greene Park.

Musically inclined families can check out a Randy Kaplan concert at 92 Y Tribeca, the new Brooklyn music festival "Jam on Dumbo" (which will feature Astrograss and Erin Lee and the Up Past Bedtime Band), the Seattle-based trio "Recess Monkey" at Symphony Space, or the Carnegie Hall Family Sing at Lincoln Center.
