Kalulu Kids: Cool Threads Inspired By East Africa

New children’s wear brand, Kalulu Kids, melds ancient tradition with contemporary style to create a line of clothes that are fun, bright, comfy, and sophisticated. Inspired by African textiles, colors, and landscapes, the Kalulu Kids spring line is made entirely out of kikoy fabric–a durable, colorful cloth typically worn by East African men. Inspired by cross-cultural children’s folklore, founder Milbert Kiggundu-Bentham named the line after the East African word for “hare,” an animal found in many children’s tales throughout the world.
