Maple Landmark Flag Train Whistle. This thrills two of my senses: I love looking at the beautiful red, white and blue American flag it proudly displays while also listening to its train whistle sound. Choo choo! Here comes the Fourth of July! The best part? The whistle is crafted from responsibly harvested wood—allowing us to honor our country even more. $6; available at Sprout San Francisco (1375 Third Avenue) or at maplelandmark.com.

Applike Couture American Flag Shirt and Lemonade’s Red Wagon Baby Star Skirt. This fashion forward toddler could not sacrifice her sense of style for the holiday so stopped by her favorite stores for a special Fourth of July ensemble. First stop was Applike Couture for a chic shirt–a red tank custom studded with an American flag heart. Next was Lemonade, where I found a smart denim skirt with bold white stars that would make any fashionista delighted. Besides being cute and flattering, this outfit would make Yankee Doodle proud! Tank is $35 at applikecouture.com; skirt is $42 at Lemonade (1038 Lexington Avenue).

Pottery Barn Kids 4th of July Collection. I don’t know about you, but I just love this BBQ stuff and cannot wait to eat the amazing American cuisine in honor of the 4th. And what better way to serve up the food than on the personalized flag and star plates Mommy ordered from Pottery Barn Kids? I even have a matching place mat to help contain the mess I am sure to make digging into my magnificent holiday meal. Does Mommy think I am a messy eater? Well, if so, I forgive her since we also purchased pin wheels (pictured), picnic totes, and various American flags from Pottery Barn Kids for my American adventure. Prices vary; potterybarnkids.com.
