There’s so much kid stuff out there that having an arbiter whose taste you like and trust can be a big help to a new parent—as well as a regular treat. That’s how I feel about the website A-List Mom, which as the name suggests skews toward higher-end items but always with an eye toward style and true value.

They do a lot of curating for new parents — including their recent Baby Shower Gift Guide for 2013. But the site is not just for baby, so you can stay with it a few years and enjoy finds like this hand-crafted, eco-friendly, and utterly delightful kid’s chair.

If you like A-List Mom, their daily email feels like a present, a serendipitous treat from moms who somehow have the time to look for this stuff.
