Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market (The TaSH) Kicks Off Fourth Season Memorial Day Weekend

Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market (The TaSH) is opening for a fourth season Memorial Day Weekend. This season the market will welcome expanded variety of vendors, more global flavors, launch of “TaSH Cash,” and the debut of “TaSH to Table”, a meal planning service. The season opening will have live music, fun and free activities for kids, dozens of vendors, and new initiatives to make shopping easy and efficient.

The TaSH is host to both weekly and rotating vendors, totaling more than 50 throughout the season. New vendors this year will add global flavors including tastes from Russia, India, Japan, and the Middle East. A full list of this season’s vendors can be found on the TaSH’s website.

New this season is “Taste of the TaSH,” a free, biweekly meal-planning service designed for families looking for nutritious and easy meal ideas during the busy week. Nutritionist Kelly Linehan has been the chief architect of this new service, uniquely available to TaSH customers. The weekly meal plan includes three meal ideas and recipes for a family of four, complete with a seasonally-inspired market shopping list and nutrition tips. Look for the launch of this service beginning June 2.

Another new initiative launching this season meant to improve the shoppers’ experience is “TaSH Cash.” Shoppers who forget their cash will now be able to purchase “TaSH Cash” at the market with their ATM cards. They will receive tokens that vendors will accept as cash. Tokens will never expire and can be used throughout the entire season.

The TaSH continues its SNAP “Double Bucks” program, the only farmers market initiative in Westchester to double SNAP (food stamps) benefits up to $40. WIC checks are also accepted!

The TaSH is particularly grateful to this season’s incredible line-up of sponsors, led by Phelps Hospital Northwell Health who returns as presenting sponsor. Additional sponsors include: Tarrytown Hall Care Center, Rey Insurance, EF School, Snap Fitness, Allan Block Agency, Handy Andy Fix It!, and Sleek eBikes. Music is produced in coordination with River Spirit Music.
