UPDATED SEPTEMBER 2019: Long Island Parents Day, a NYMetroParents event, is returning for another fun-filled day of information for you and activities for your kids. This year’s family-friendly festival will be held Sunday, Sept. 15 in the Pratt Recreation Center at LIU Post in Brookville.
NYMetroParents is bringing you yet another fun-filled day to make the back-to-school transition a little easier for your family. That’s right, our annual Long Island Parents Day is back! On Sunday, Sept. 15, you can bring the whole family to LIU Post where the kids can play while the parents browse important back-to-school resources. As a parent, you’ll have access to more than 50 exhibitors, including after-school activities, health care and special needs providers, and the best birthday party venues in the area.
While you’re getting acquainted with the various local resources for the family, your children can hit the Kid’s Corner for activities, classes, and demonstrations. Check out the schedule of classes and activities for kids, including cooking, Zumba, STEM, live reptiles, a puppet show, soccer, yoga, music, ballet, soccer, and more!
To join the fun this year, come to the Pratt Recreation Center of Long Island University at 720 Northern Blvd., Brookville from 11am-3pm on Sunday, Sept. 15. Tickets are $10 per family and cover admission for two adults and up to four children. Additionally, you can use the code “FREE” to get a free ticket before Sept. 15.
