In anticipation of one of the summer’s hottest blockbusters, Aviator Sports & Events Center, located at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn, has partnered with the team from Mission: Impossible – Fallout to create a specialized parkour challenge night on Saturday, July 21.
During the free event, which will take place from 6-8pm, participants 13 and over will be encouraged to run, jump, and climb like Tom Cruise in specially designed parkour courses.
Aviator’s parkour coaches will set up a number of challenge stations in the gym (using the gymnastics area, the parkour room, and the Ninja Warrior course), with at least one coach at each station. To determine winners, coaches will score the participants based on performance at each station. Winners will take home special prizes, including free sessions of parkour at Aviator Sports,Mission: Impossible – Falloutthemed merchandise, and more.
“We’re excited to be hosting this fun event. Programs like parkour, ninja warrior, and free running have seen an increase in enrollment and the mainstream coverage on TV and movies like the Mission Impossible series are definitely a reason why,” said Jennifer Dooley, Director of Gymnastics, Aviator Sports and Events Center “The past few years the team here has done a great job in developing the program and this Mission: Impossible Parkour Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the program.”
