Carrots Your Kids Will Love

If you are anything like me, you are constantly trying to find HEALTHY snacks that your kids will ACTUALLY eat. Despite scouring the shelves at Whole Foods, I have come up empty handed or worse – with multiple bags and boxes of foods my kids declare inedible….
Gilda Mulero of
Naturally Tasty personal chef service has solved my dilemma for a salty HEALTHY treat my whole family loves with her great recipe for Carrot Chips!

Carrot Chips

Ingredients

6 large carrots

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Sea salt to taste

Instructions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. With a Kuhn vegetable peeler, peel carrots so that you remove the outer peel. Continue peeling carrots lengthwise into strips. Place strips into a bowl and toss with the olive oil and ground cinnamon. Place strips onto baking sheets and bake in the oven for approximately 40-50 minutes or until crispy.

Note: Using a Kuhn vegetable peeler is like using a mandoline, but more convenient. The same method of shaving the vegetable to make chips can be used on sweet potatoes, kale, spinach, plantains.

Chips are fun for kids and adults too!
