Weekend Planner: December 10-12

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Lucky for families, there are tons of holiday-inspired activities, events, performances and more this weekend to make your spirits and your celebration bright! This weekend we’re especially excited about the Annual Santa Rescue at the NYC Fire Museum, holiday craft projects at Wave Hill, Gingerbread house making at Taste Buds, a fun re-telling of "Peter and The Wolf" by Isaac Mizrahi at the Guggenheim Museum, the lively Yorkville production of "The Nutcracker" and holiday tours of both the historic Bartow Pell Mansion (in the Bronx) and the Mount Vernon Hotel (on the Upper East Side.) —

If you’re planning on taking a respite from holiday festivities, there’s plenty more fun to be had, including a rockin’ performance from the Deedle Deedle Dees in Brooklyn, the high-energy performance Momentum at the New Victory Theater, and the American Museum of Natural History’s new exhibit "The Brain: The Inside Story."
