Help your child get more out of playtime.
On June 13, the Queens Library and Mad Science of Long Island present “Science of Toys,” an afternoon of exploring how some of your child’s favorite toys work using basic science principles.
Using bouncing balls, yo-yos and other classic toys, they can discover the science of motion through fun, hands-on activities. Find out how vector toys and string things work, and even bring home a new toy — a glowing “Mad Science Yo-Yo” — to continue the lesson.
“Science of Toys” at the Flushing branch of the Queens Library [41-17 Main St. at 41st Avenue in Flushing, (718) 661-1200], June 13 at 3 pm. Free. Pre-registration required. For info, visit www.queenslibrary.org.
