Nicki Bradley is one of our Third Place Winners for her yummy Oatmeal
Cinnamon and Apple Pancakes recipe. Bradley says: “These pancakes were
so moist, with just the right amount of unique oatmeal cinnamon taste to them;
like eating oatmeal and pancakes together!” —
Oatmeal Cinnamon and Apple Pancakes
Makes 8-10 pancakes
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
3 Tsp baking powder
1 1/2 Tbs sugar
1 1/2 cups organic milk, soy or almond milk
1 pouch Sprout Organic Oatmeal with Roasted Cinnamon Applesauce
3 Tbs of canola oil (plus a little more for the pan)
Mix all dry
ingredients in a bowl. Mix milk, Sprout pouch and oil together in mixing bowl.
Then add dry ingredients. Mix until well blended. (Mix in option: 8oz of
chocolate chips. Blend for a moment in food processor to make into bits. Add to
mixed ingredients right before cooking.) In skillet, medium heat, add a little
canola oil, spoon about 1/4 cup into heated skillet with canola oil. Cook for 1
minute or until bubbly, then flip. Top with dollop of organic whipped butter
and 100% Pure Maple Syrup.
