Celebrate Veterans Day in Living History at the New York Historical Society by immersing yourself in a Veterans Day weekend special on Nov. 10, 11, and 12.
Visit the museum to remember the service of veterans past and present! Each day immerses you in the history of African Americans serving in different wars throughout American history. In conjunction with Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow, meet soldiers and citizens from different wars portrayed by Living Historians — including members of a unique African-American regiment each day.
Listen to stories about life on and off the battlefield throughout American history, discover uniforms and equipment, or try out an army drill!
Veterans Day Weekend, Nov. 10, 11, and 12 from 11 am to 4 pm. Free with museum admission. Suitable for all ages; reservations not required.
