If your kids are as Lego obsessed as mine, this event is sure to knock their socks off.
Lego Live will be heading to New York City’s Pier 36 for Presidents Day weekend, Feb. 16-18. Lego Live NYC will include more than 4,600,000 bricks in a 65,000-square-foot space, as well as Lego master builders and fun workshops for kids. It’s a Lego lovers dream!
In addition to the millions of Legos to play with, kids will also have opportunities to build, create, and learn. Each Lego brand will be represented at different stations throughout the venue.
Some of the exciting stations at Lego Live NYC—featuring your favorite Lego brands—include:
- Ninjago, where kids will get to test their ninja skills and play between two worlds.
- Minecraft, where kids can build their own universe and get hands-on with physical or virtual bricks.
- Boost, where you can experience the world of mechanized LEGO® bricks.
- Kids can play with their favorite Star Wars characters in a themed zone.
- Join the coding corner experts and learn how to program your models for the ultimate experience with Mindstorms.
- In the Technic Corner, advanced builders can test their engineering skills and clip those pins and bricks together as they build their creation.
There will also be Lego master builders available to help and answer any questions, giant brick-built displays of iconic characters, a coordinating LEGO® Life app for unique visitor experiences, an opportunity to showcase your own creations live, and workshops and talks will also be scheduled throughout the three-day event.
A portion of Thursday evening’s proceeds will go toward Jumpstart and their reading initiatives and programs in local communities.
This is the first event of its kind and is sure to draw a crowd from in and around the New York City area.
Tickets are currently available and include four hours of general admission and play for $30 per person. Special VIK (very important kid) with accompanying VIG (very important guest/parent/grown-up) packages are available for $75 per kid and $45 per adult. These feature exclusive LEGO® Live swag, a meet-and-greet with a Lego master builder, and an extra hour of play.
