Pterodactyls, and raptors, and triceratops, oh my!
Staten Island Zoo employee and dinosaur enthusiast Richie Mirissis teaches children all about their favorite extinct carnivores and herbivores on Oct. 7 during Dinosaurs and More.
Does a flamingo really descend from a barrosasaurus?
Find out as Mirissis teaches kids ages 4 to 12 all about the majestic, prehistoric, and “possible” ascendants of birds with real fossils, three-dimensional models, and memorabilia from his T-Rex-sized collection of artifacts.
Crafts and activities such as clay fossil making will also be available under the guidance of the zoo’s volunteers.
Your kids won’t want to miss this. The event is free with zoo admisison of $8 for adults and $5 for children.
