‘iLuminate’ glow-in-the-dark dance show lights up New World Stages

What a great way to light up the holidays with a limited engagement of “iLuminate” at the New World Stages Theater now through Jan. 8.

Music, art, and the technological magic of “iLuminate” bring you a story of adventure and romance told through dance styles ranging from contemporary, hip-hop, Latin, and breaking, all using the power of light.

With a mash-up of dazzling wizardry, spectacular dance moves, fun audience-interactive games and high-tech effects, “iLuminate” delivers this unique dance-in-the-dark event. Suitable for tweens and young adults.

“iLuminate,” now through Jan. 8, 2017. Mondays 7 pm; Wednesdays through Fridays 8 pm; Saturdays 2 pm and 8 pm; Sundays 3 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets are $77 to $99.

Dance Workshop - Long Island

Treehouse Shakers

<div>Treehouse Shakers&rsquo; Branching OUT After-School program is for ages 12-14. This awarded program is for young people who identify as LGBTQIA+, or are seeking to become better allies. Branching OUT centers on discovering and exploring one&rsquo;s story and identity through an intentionally artist-led format. During our community-based program, young people will explore and reflect on their own story to create a larger, more meaningful experience, while gaining self-empowerment and gathering with like-minded peers. Through the guidance of our awarded teaching artists, young people will create narratives that will be turned into podcasts, dances, songs or poetry.&nbsp;</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Young people have the opportunity to learn new art forms, work with professional artists, while building a meaningful community.</div>
