Start the month off right with a day of fun for the whole family.
On May 5, Jamaica Center for the Performing Arts and Learning hosts Cinco de Mayo Family Fun Day, with hands-on art activities and a performance by the jammin’ musical group Hot Peas ’N Butter.
The fun starts at 1 pm, when kids have the chance to participate in hands-on art workshops. At 2 pm, the Peas take to the stage, blending traditional Latin and Afro-Caribbean music with jazz, folk, and rock for a show that gets the whole family dancing.
