Applause New York, one of the city’s premiere programs for the performing arts–for all kids ages 0-18, from babies just starting to explore movement to teenagers getting serious about their passions in the arts–is coming up on its 20th anniversary in March!
The mission at Applause New York is to “bring a love and appreciation of the performing arts” to all of their students. By exposing students to all of the different mediums in the performing arts, the hope is that they will become the next generation of adults who contribute to the arts. Applause strives for excellence in each of their divisions, by creating an environment that is safe, supportive, rigorous and rewarding.
After two wonderful decades of adding to the performing arts landscape of NYC, Applause New York is excited to announce that they are celebrating with a fabulous gala event on March 6, 2015, at 7:30pm, at the Dicapo Theater (184 E. 76th Street). Prepare to take a seat in their theater and enjoy a live performance with staff, students, and some famous Applause alumni!

- Sebastian Stan from “Captain America, Winter Soldier” & “Gossip Girl”
- Max Jenkins from ABC’s “Mysteries of Laura”
- Sara Kramer from “Mamma Mia”
- Anthony Fazio from ABC’s “The Blacklist,” & CBS’s “Bluebloods”
- Sas Goldberg from the movie “You Must Be Joking”
- Jessica Trager and Amanda Perez from Applause New York’s very first class in 1995
Our friends at Applause invite you to come and mingle with all who have been with the program throughout the last 20 years. Gourmet Advisories is transforming the space and there will be cocktails, dinner, dancing, and a short movie with lots of surprises.
