Balance This!

Remember how potential models would walk a straight line while balancing
a book on their head? This can be fun for kids, too – and for the whole family! You can make this activity a game by asking everyone to balance a cardboard storybook on their head. It’s not easy. Don’t be surprised if the kids are better than you! Remember, there’s one rule: no hand-holding. Meaning, you can’t touch the book to hold it in place. —

Now, here’s the fun aspect. Set a manual kitchen timer and see who in the family can last the longest while the time is ticking
away. Remind the kids – and everyone else who plays – to walk tall, keep
their shoulders straight, look ahead
and be oh-so-careful while trying to cross the room!
