On Tuesday, April 10th, midtown Manhattan was the
backdrop for a star-studded gala (think red carpet, photographers and floor-length, Oscar-worthy
gowns) as New Yorkers For Children hosted the Ninth Annual Spring Dinner Dance
– New Year’s in April: A Fool’s
Fete. —
The gala, located at the Mandarin
Oriental in Columbus Circle, was to benefit youth in foster care in New York
City. The event included dinner,
dancing, music by DJ Kiss, and a silent auction–consisting of two NY Giants game tickets, VIP tickets to
meet Anderson Cooper, and a weekend trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina, among other prizes.
Special guests at the event included ten youth currently
in foster care who are leaders in New Yorkers For Children programs. Celebrity
faces in attendance included: Katie Lee, Coco Rocha, Zac Posen, and Selita
Ebanks. The evening’s presenting sponsor was CD Greene Inc.
Additional sponsors include CIRCA, BNY Mellon, Honor, Giorgio Armani, La Perla,
Lanvin MAC Cosmetics, Nicole
Miller, Roger Vivier, St. John, TBS/ CNN, Tod’s and Zilli.
