Just in time for the upcoming modern remake of “Annie” (starring Jaime Fozz and Quevenzhane Wallis), Target has done it’s first collaboration with costume designer, Renée Ehrlich Kalfus, on a limited edition collection of girls clothing and accessories. Kalfus is the costume designer on set and created this line that was inspired by the pieces used in the movie. The 25-piece collection will be available in Target stores all around the US, as well as on Target.com beginning November 16. Holiday gift shopping anyone?
In a new approach that targets the DIY-loving girl, Kalfus has also included a do-it-yourself kit that’s perfect for the already style conscious among us. The line is said to include playful elements like tulle, patchwork, embroidery pins, and buttons, as well as Annie’s iconic red dress and locket. All of the pieces in the collection ‘mix and match’ making the outfit possibilities endless.
“Target is excited to bring guests a piece of the ‘Annie’ movie magic, just in time for the holiday season,” said Stacia Andersen, senior vice president, Apparel and Accessories, Target. “The collection’s mix-and-match theme inspires girls to express themselves by creating a look all their own, at prices moms and dads will appreciate.”
That’s right, every piece in the collection is priced below $30, making this collection both kid- and budget friendly.
