Fenom Fitness, a family fitness facility in Westchester, recently began offering customized fitness classes for kids and adults through its Build-A-Program! service. The facility offers pay-as-you-go fitness, meaning there are no membership fees.
The turf area at Fenom Fitness can be converted into batting cages or golfing cages.
Fenom Fitness, which opened last year, offers kid, adult, and family sports and fitness classes, as well as birthday parties. The Harrison fitness facility recently began offering its Build-A-Program! class creator.
The Build-A-Program! classes are created for a specific group of participants, and are tailored to the group’s specific needs, wants, and fitness goals. “Lets say you have a group of adults, and we don’t have a class that fits your schedule,” says Anusha Joly, marketing director at Fenom Fitness. “Call us, and we’ll craft something for you.”
Customized classes can be either one type of class, such as Zumba, boot camp, or yoga, or a combination of two classes. For instance, boot camp (a cardio-related class) can be followed by yoga for a cool down. The Build-A-Program! classes can be tailored to children as well—the after-school multi-sport mash up can become more soccer- or other sport centric.
Joly says that the biggest thing that sets Fenom Fitness apart from other fitness centers in the area is there are no membership options, and it offers a free trial class for first-time customers. All classes are pay-as-you-go (most are $30 per class; $40 for specialty sports classes), and personal training sessions are $95 each. Other options are a 5-pack of classes for $125 and a 10-pack of classes for $225.
The facility also offers birthday parties—it hosted its first adult dodge ball party in December—and Park & Train, in which clients can take an early morning boot camp class or have a personal training session, and their car can stay parked at the facility (a 5-minute walk from the Harrison train station) for the day.
