While “The Sandlot” doesn’t take place at a summer camp, it’s still filled with summer shenanigans and a group of boys who bond over their love of baseball and their fear of the dog known as the Beast, that lives in the yard behind the sandlot. When the new kid, Scotty Smalls, unknowingly brings his stepfather’s signed Babe Ruth baseball, it ends up in the yard with the Beast and the gang has to figure out how to get it back.
