Multi-tasking—every
parent’s not-so hidden talent. With this goal, LG’s newest phone The Viper (available now)
speaks to NYC moms and dads with more than one thing on their mind. —
This
thin and lightweight cellular is made of gorilla glass, which makes it completely
scratch-resistant (toys, beware!). Its special screen also makes it 100% readable
in the sun– perfect for when you need to quickly scan emails during your little
one’s baseball practice. The Viper also has the rare capability of allowing many
programs to be opened and running at once. So you can now surf the web,
download apps and listen to music all at the same time.
Besides
the technical perks, this phone comes with some great apps that the entire
family can use. LG Electronics’ Chaz Abbott boasts, “The great thing about The
LG Viper is that it doesn’t make you detached from your family, it actually
helps to interact with them.”
A
popular and favorite app of model/actress and LG spokesperson Ali Landry is the
Life’s Good Fairytale App. This
program allows you to create bedtime stories with your child using personalized
pictures, names and sounds. After, you can play it back and then save and send
it to other relatives and friends. “Both my husband and myself have crazy
schedules, so we take storytime very seriously. My daughter and I love to use
the Life’s Good Fairytale App and put in our own pictures in the stories! I
can’t wait to use this app for my son as well when he gets older,” Landry
gushed.
Another
great app is the Google Wallet App,
which uses services like PayPass to set up credit card payments directly
through your phone. No more digging through the diaper bag to find your debit
or credit card. Simply scan your phone and the payment is accepted! Cha-ching.
New York Family also spoke with Landry about her up-and-coming website, Spokesmoms—projected
to launch in June—a site focusing on mom-reviews on everything from baby
clothing, products, formulas to shopping. Landry says, “I am obsessed with
products, and learning all about the latest and greatest products available on
the market. I envisioned having a site where parents can go online and tell us
what they want, and also read reviews from like-minded moms.” The site is aimed
at being a one-stop shop for moms who have any question under the sun about
parenting.
LG Viper is available
for Sprint customers at the budget-friendly price of $99, with a $50 rebate.
