A Moo-sical
The award-winning children’s book by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin comes to life on stage in the musical, Click Clack Moo. The comedy, which follows the adventures of a group of cows who type and protest their working conditions, teaches lessons of standing tall, conflict resolution, and compromise. A Pre-Halloween Party
Dress up in your costume for the annual Halloween Noogiefest. Go trick-or-treating, try your skills at the comedy improvisation workshop, and then enjoy face painting, cookie decorating, beaded jewelry crafts, wand and mask making, and more. Camp, Concerts, and More
See the hottest acts around at Camp-A-Palooza. A unique family festival, a large lineup of entertainment including Chris Barron and the Time Bandits (of Spin Doctors fame), the Bokandeye African-American Dance Theater, Mortal Beasts and Deities, Ellis Paul, and Pete and Maura Kennedy (also known as The Snacks) are slated to perform. Camp-A-Palooza also features stilt dancers, larger-than-life puppets, pumpkin painting, arts and crafts, miniature golf, team sports, old-fashioned games, and a nature program. Fall Fun and Family
Celebrate all things autumn at Teatown’s Annual Fall Festival. Enjoy hayrides, pumpkin carving, and canoeing. Make your own scarecrow and “green” crafts, and visit the animals from Muscoot Farm. Joe Dureas, the Ya Yas, and Fred Gillen, Jr., will perform live. Check out the Teatown Marketplace of Delights and refreshment vendors. Parking at the IBM T.J. Rock Out
See a kid-friendly rock concert when The Sippy Cups perform. Blending covers from the likes of the Velvet Underground and the Ramones with their own like-minded originals, The Sippy Cups throw an energy-filled rock and roll party. Shine a Light
Join the Westchester/Hudson Valley Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for the Light The Night® annual fundraising walk. Walkers will raise money to support blood cancer research and provide support services for patients and their families. Light The Night Walks take place around the country with teams of co-workers, families, and friends walking together in twilight holding illuminated balloons – white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold for those walking in memory of a loved one lost to blood cancer. Refreshments, children’s activities, and live entertainment will also be available. Last year, the Westchester/Hudson Valley chapter attracted 4,000 walkers and raised $550,000.
