"Egg and Spoon" at BAM
“Egg and Spoon,” the UK-based Lyngo Theatre Company’s first show for little ones, does not expect its tiny audience members to sit still. Instead, during this interactive performance they’ll journey through the four seasons. They’ll run through rain and falling leaves, admire glowing stars, sleep on a blanket of snow, and chase butterflies around a blossoming tree as they wait for Birdy to hatch from his egg come spring. "Séquence 8” at New York City Center
From the company behind “Pippin” comes “Séquence 8,” a show with a unique fusion of acrobatics, hip-hop, and humor. This modern circus, starring 8 performers from the Montreal-based Les 7 Doigts de la Main (7 Fingers), explores the intensity of human emotions through explosive acrobatics. (Through April 26) -
"Cinderella and the Prince Who Slays the Magic Dragon" at Lincoln Center
A 15-foot fairy godmother and a 20-foot-long dragon are just a couple of the highlights in The Little Orchestra Society’s production of “Cinderella and the Prince Who Slays the Magic Dragon.” With music by Sergei Prokofiev, puppets, and dancers, ages 6-12 won’t soon forget this magical version of a classic tale. "Sleeping Beauty" with David Gonzalez at Lincoln Center
Think you know the story of Sleeping Beauty? This spin on a classic fairy tale (complete with live music and image projections) features a funky and beautiful princess awakened by true love’s kiss…or maybe not. (Saturday) -

"Take the Stage with Broadway Stars" at Carnegie Hall
Aspiring actors, singers, and dancers will love Carnegie Hall’s upcoming family concert, “Take the Stage with Broadway Stars.” A cast of Broadway greats, led by Tony Award winner Jesse Mueller, will teach the audience the music and choreography for numbers from Broadway hits such as “Grease,” “The Sound of Music,” “Rent,” “Les Miserables,” “Hairspray,” and “Beautiful: The Carol King Musical.” There may even be a chance for kids and families to join the stars onstage! Muslim Arts Festival at the Children's Museum of Manhattan
The Children’s Museum of Manhattan will be hosting a Muslim Arts Festival to explore and honor Muslim heritage! Participants can enjoy an immersive architectural exploration through the 3D Mosque Experience, engage in a painting and water marbling workshops with artists Asma Ahmed Shikoh and Yasemin Ozsavasci, and more. Earth Day New York in Union Square
All ages are welcome to visit Union Square for an abundance of eco-friendly activities and panels in celebration of Earth Day! Visitors will be able to meet representatives of non-profit and environmental organizations and speak with local green businesses. CMOM's Sunday Funday at Pier 60
Join hundreds of local families for Sunday Funday at Pier 60 to support and celebrate the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. Dan Zanes and Friends will kick off the party with a live performance, and children will enjoy activities such as obstacle courses, potato sack races, arts and crafts stations, and bouncy castles. For the little ones, there will be baby and toddler play areas and sing-a-longs, in addition to themed workshops for all ages led by Museum educators. Calling movie hounds! Celebrate the 14th Tribeca Film Festival at the annual Drive-In on the Waterfront Plaza at Brookfield Place! Thursday, it’s “Clue,” as butler Tim Curry leads six house guests into a murderous game of whodunit. Come dressed as your favorite Clue character for a chance to win prizes, or dress yourself up in the Murder Mansion photo booth and bring the game to life. Friday, bring your love one to the waterfront for “Lady and The Tramp.” Be entertained by accordion players, join in on Italian love song sing-alongs, face painting, photo booths and more.
