We hope your week included a tree lighting or two! (But don’t worry, there’s still more to come.) They
say the weekend is supposed to be sunny so whether you choose to spend it
indoors or out, here are over 15 ways to hang loose and get your holiday on. —
FRIDAY-SUNDAY
Witness contortionists, aerialists and gymnasts from Cirque
Shanghai’s Bai Xi conquer the “Wheel of Death” (and other fun) during the
troupe’s opening weekend at the New Victory Theater.
Don’t bite that poisoned apple but do attend the opening weekend of Company
XIV’s Snow White at the Bond Street Theatre. Kids will dig the elements of
opera, circus performance and dance.
Support local Etsy artists during the first weekend of the Lil’
New Yorker Booth at the Annual Columbus Circle Holiday Market. You’ll swoon
over all the cute handmade crafts!
Watch animals open their holiday presents during the first weekend of Central Park’s Winterfest.
Plus, enjoy the festive light display and sip on some hot cocoa. Only Friday and Saturday.
Create pop-up and slider holiday cards for family and friends during the Family
Art Project: Season’s Greetings event at Wave Hill. Thanks to Target,

SATURDAY
Contribute some new or gently used books to the Children’s
Holiday Book Drive at Pink Olive in Park Slope while meeting with
children’s authors and snacking on milk and cookies.
Become a police officer for a day at the New York City Police Museum’s Holiday
Party, where kids will get to try on international uniforms and learn about
the daily duties of officers around the world.
Old St. Nick and Black Piet are getting ready to make their appearance at the
Wyckoff Farmhouse in Brooklyn on St.
