Between movie theaters, car theaters, and home theaters, your kids have probably seen current films many times over. If you’re looking to have them see something a little different, take them to Anything but Silent: Classics from the Silent Age of Film, with live accompaniment by Ben Model on the cinema’s Miditzer theater organ. Model has been playing piano and organ for silents at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan for the past 27 years. This month, he’ll be accompanying Harold Lloyd in The Freshman, a 1925 comedy about a young man who joins his college football team in hopes of becoming popular. August 25 at 7:30pm. $13.
