As a longtime fan of Dwell Studio–both their furniture and their textiles–I was really excited to see their new glider. It’s a great addition to their collection and will look good just about anywhere.
A glider is a piece of furniture that often goes in the nursery but which some families choose to incorporate into the main rooms of their home as well. But either way, it has to be comfortable and you need to be able to sit in it for long periods of time if necessary. Dwell’s version meets all that criteria and more.
It comes in two designs, the Savoy (a rounded version) and the Thompson (a more modern, angled version), with choices of four plain fabrics and two prints (the easily identifiable Dwell dots!). They glide and swivel, which means the only thing their missing is, well, nothing. They’re quite comfy and with the optional ottoman it all adds up to wonderful. An added bonus–the wood is grown and harvested in a responsible manner. Brilliant!
