St. Patrick’s Youth Adds Parent-Child and Separation Classes

St. Patrick’s Youth Enrichment Center expanded its programming for young children, and now offers a mommy-and-my style class called Playtime with Mommy for ages 3-5 and a separation class for 2-year-olds.

St. Patrick’s Youth Enrichment Center offers before- and after-care enrichment programs to for children, including St. Patrick’s School students.  The Learning Center at St. Patrick’s provides challenging activities in a fun environment for 2- to 12-years-olds—morning, afternoon, and after-school—with the goal of children growing into well-rounded and thoughtful students.

In September, St. Patrick’s Youth Enrichment Center expanded its enrichment programming with classes for 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds. The new Playtime with Mommy class will be held Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30-10:30am, and separation classes for 2-year olds will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9am. Activities include circle time, crafts, and socialization-play time; snacks are provided.

St. Patrick’s mission is to “teach the whole child, body, mind, and soul,” says Cindy Marsh, director of the enrichment center, and to “give everybody an opportunity to be an active learner.” One way this goal is achieved is through the center’s flexible-pay program.  Parents are free to attend only the days or hours in which they choose—with a minimum 2-day, 3-hour requirement per week—and they are not locked into a schedule or monthly rate. This is the “beauty of our program,” Marsh says. “You only pay for the days you actually attend.”

Child care is also available from 7:30am-6pm, and costs $7.50 per hour.
