Bird lovers will want to check out this annual Shorebird Festival, which takes places at peak shorebird migration time in the Big Apple. NYC Audubon Members and other birders will hike around the East Pond when birds are in their greatest numbers. Other great activities include an introduction to refuge issues and wildlife management, shorebird photography, more hikes, and a discussion on shorebird identification and behavior.
