Breast Cancer Survivor & Mom Guiliana Rancic Goes Pink at CureDiva Launch

This year’s Breast Cancer Awareness month is bolstered with the launch of CureDiva, a new website designed as a one stop lifestyle guide geared towards women dealing the disease. CureDiva features helpful information and products custom tailored to a woman’s specific stage of breast cancer. Founder Efrat Roman came up with the concept of the CureDiva after her own experiences as a breast cancer survivor. Understanding how stressful the disease can be, Roman thought that a comprehensive website could help women feel less overwhelmed with the lifestyle changes that are inherent with being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The launch of CureDiva featured support from E! News anchor Guiliana Rancic, another breast cancer survivor and public advocate. After learning she had to go through a double mastectomy, Rancic decided to use her celebrity platform to raise awareness about the disease. At the launch event, Rancic reflected on how women have told her that she inspired them to get mammograms. “It’s incredible to have a bigger purpose than I ever thought.”

Rancic, as well as the founders of CureDiva, believe women shouldn’t have to sacrifice their femininity when they are in treatment for breast cancer. This was the inspiration for the e-commerce platform of the website, which allows for women to find the products they need for their specific cancer stage, as well as read reviews and recommendations from other breast cancer patients. In addition to hooking breast cancer patients up with the information and products they need, CureDiva helps provide a support system. The website features “Guardian Divas,” or survivors who function as mentors for women currently dealing with breast cancer.
