Out on a Limb is fun new way for children to explore the natural world.
The fun begins as children enter the exhibit through a series of tree houses featuring virtual aerial views. Children five to 12 help build bird nests and learn how birds care for their young, climb a tree tower, make and decorate a club house, weave a sculpture or build a chair with willow bark and bamboo. Children also read and role play stories of nature and study and draw objects in nature in their very own tree naturalist journal. Kids will be clamoring to move out to the country just so they can have a big old tree of their own.
