A Pretty Fishy Tale
Marcus Pfister’s bestselling book Rainbow Fish becomes a delightful and touching musical about the value of friendship. Rainbow Fish, who is accustomed to being the most beautiful fish in the ocean, shows her true colors when other fish ask her to share some of her silver scales. World Glass Music
The Crystal Trio, a three-man band that hails from Russia, performs classical and modern works as well as original music on special glass instruments during a concert at the Long Island Children’s Museum. Phineas and Ferb Go Live
Though Phineas and Ferb are famous for annoying their sister Candace with their grand plans, this may be their most impressive stunt yet: The brothers are going on a live tour, popping out of your television screen and landing squarely on stage in Disney’s Phineas and Ferb: The Best Live Tour Ever! As the brothers attempt to achieve an epic escape, the whole familiar cast of characters gets involved in their hijinks, including Candace, Perry the platypus (also known as Agent P in his secret double life), and evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz. The plot takes place during the magical hiatus of summer vacation—and as any child knows, that’s a time when truly anything can happen. Click for details

Fido’s Spring Fling
Your pooch has a chance to show off her bow-wow at the Spring Dog Festival, where dogs of all breeds, sizes, and shapes can strut their stuff. There will be dog games, exhibits by animal welfare and rescue groups, demonstrations by Long Island Agility, and much more for dog lovers and their four-legged friends to enjoy. Click for details

Reach for Summer
The whole family can enjoy the fresh outdoor air as you check out the campus of North Shore Day Camp during its Open House. Parents have the opportunity to meet the faculty and staff to discuss the camp’s many programs and activities while children engage in arts and crafts, face painting, a magic show, or enjoy refreshments. Facetious Sheep
Members of the Canadian dance/theatre company CORPUS present Les Moutons, in which they become sheep in sheep’s clothing, to hilarious results. Kids are treated to a surrealistic overview of sheep behavior—milking, shearing, feeding, and other tasks associated with these wooly animals—in a performance that twists reality in surprising ways and provides lots of opportunity for audience interaction. Pinocchio Art
