Athletes from all over the world are finding their way to Port Chester this summer to try out the MSquash Accelerator, the brand new High Performance Squash Training. MSquash features the very first InteractiveSQUASH courts in the US, as well as a top-notch video-analysis court with a glass floor. Whether you are a top squash athlete or keen to try-out a new sport, the MSQUASH Accelerator is a fun way to get active. The Port Chester facility was founded by Shaun Moxham, coach of former World Champion Squash player David Palmer.
While many parents are trying everything to keep their kids away from too many hours of Fortnight or similar video games, Moxham and his wife Katline Cauwels have launched the best alternative to it: a combination of sports and serious gaming. The sports center allows visitors to play a video game on a squash court while working out in the most intense way. The InteractiveSQUASH courts at MSQUASH have a front wall reacting to where you hit the ball. You move, work out, and play video games at the same time. You can play against people worldwide or locally or challenge other players in solo or 2-person intense training drills.
“We want to accelerate athletic development through technology. Whether young kids, top athletes, or adults, everyone works better with increased focus, motivated by accurate and data-driven feedback,” says Cauwels.
Known as one of the most innovative coaches in the world, Moxham is all about using visual feedback and fitting learning styles to each individual athlete. He is not only refered to as the ‘squash athlete whisperer’, he also designed a brand new glass floor court on which he accelerates the improvement of athletes in a way no other coach is known to do.
