It was a sunny day in New York City when “Sesame Street Live: Let’s Dance!” boogied its way into town! Filled with great songs to get you up and dancing, the fun and educational show of our favorite television series, “Sesame Street,” had us up and bopping the whole time. It was a boogie woogie good time for our whole family!

Just like my favorite TV show, the performance started with the “Sesame Street” theme song and it was one great musical number after the other for the whole show. “Sesame Street Live: Let’s Dance!” celebrated dance, music, imagination, and movement. What more could you want in a fun, family show? Plus, the show was more interactive than ever! There were so many impromptu dance parties—it rocked! And bonus: The characters came off the stage and danced up and down the aisles with us. I rubbed elbows and danced with my favorite Sesame friends. It was a ball!

More importantly, I learned that dancing and moving to music helps everyone to express themselves. And that by using dance and your imagination together, you can make anything come true. Elmo brought the audience along on a ride through his imagination. First, he imagined robots and light-up robots appeared dancing with Elmo to “Mr. Robato.” Then Elmo imagined both small and big with fan favorites like the “Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “The Wheels on the Bus.”

I found myself screaming, I mean singing, along to my most favorite musical numbers from the TV show. Usher’s “ABC Song,” “C is for Cookie” and “Elmo’s Got the Moves” are my three favorites and I was dancing like a rock star with “Moves like Jagger.” My little sister even started dancing, well bouncing, along, too. She was so cute!

Through song, dance, and dance parties that had kids of all ages rocking it out up and down the aisles with our favorite Sesame friends, the show was spectacular! I loved spending time together with my family and my Sesame friends. I’m still thinking about dancing away my sunny day at Sesame while it is beyond freezing outside!

Plus, before the show made its debut, “Sesame Street Live’s” Elmo and Cookie Monster led children in a Sesame Street themed dance class alongside Molly Jackson, the show’s performance director. The children are from the Children’s Aid Society in East Harlem, a partner of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. The Garden of Dreams Foundation works with the Madison Square Garden Company and MSG Networks Inc. to help children facing obstacles such as homelessness, extreme poverty, illness, and foster care.

Don’t miss this dancing good time of a show! “Sesame Street Live: Let’s Dance!” will run at The Theater at Madison Square Garden through February 21, 2016. Tickets are on sale now! Get more info and your tickets HERE!
