Like most great journeys, the grand adventure of becoming a new parent is not done alone. It’s shared by partners, parents, extended family, friends, new friends, and trusted figures of guidance and friendship—from caregivers to support group leaders. I know this might sound like a stretch, but my colleagues and I at New York Family and the New York Baby Show view our relationship to our readers and followers as a privilege that we try to honor by serving you with good articles and posts that add something positive to your day, and sometimes your life—whether it’s a piece of helpful information, a good laugh, or something truly incredible, like an epiphany about being a parent.
Lots of expectant and new parents first connect with us because they attended the New York Baby Show (to be held on May 14-15 in 2016); or found us in print or online. Just saying—many end up including us in the journey from baby all the way to tween and teen, though I suspect you’re not ready to think about Kindergarten admissions or summer camp quite yet. When you are, we’ll talk.
Okay, so you’ve found New York Family Baby, or it’s found you, and I hope you enjoy it. The next step is to sign up for our free weekly e-newsletter, which, all year long, features articles like those in this magazine, plus all sorts of great giveaways.
Warm regards,
