Guests of all ages are invited to Build-A-Bear Workshop locations all over to celebrate “Hop Hop Hooray” weekends during the Saturdays and Sundays leading up to Easter. Weekends will be filled with exciting Easter and springtime themed fun as well as in-store activities where children can fill up their Easter baskets with Build-A-Bear goodies.
Every Saturday at 3 and Sunday at 1, the Build-A-Bear Workshop mascot Pawlette the bunny will pay visits to stores and children can dance around and take pictures with her. Children can also participate in a hoppin’ dance party with fun dance music to hop around the store to. Every child will take home an Easter themed cut out activity to complete with parents.
Easter-themed merchandise is available throughout the season in stores and online including vibrant and sparkly Easter apparel for your bear, fun springtime accessories, different colored bunnies, and spring gift sets. Easter themed Build-A-Bears include Peter Rabbit inspired by the release of the new Peter Rabbit film, the 3-foot-tall “Jumbo Pawlette”, the Blossom Bunny, and more.
For a limited time only, all guests will receive a free “hide and go beep” to put in their bear with purchase. Similar to Elf on the Shelf, this feature makes your bear into a fun hide-and-go-seek game, where parents can hide the bear and children have to listen for the beep to find it. Other features available for purchase include a variety of voices to give your bear, different fun smells, and the option to record your own voice for playback when you squeeze your bear. Visitors can also purchase a “heartbeat” for their bear.
“When people visit our store, we try to find out what they’re celebrating so we can make their day special to that event,” said 34th Street store manager Jason Bogdan. “Build-a-Bear is a place to celebrate anything from getting an A on a test to becoming potty-trained!”
