Nine-year-old Oroboghene (Orobo) Ogbovoh wins the grand prize in the Arts Alive Long Island Poster contest.
An awards ceremony for the Arts Alive Long Island poster contest was held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum on June 19, where New York state regent Roger Tilles presented the grand prize to 9-year-old Oroboghene (Orobo) Ogbovoh, a student at an Elmont Union Free School.
The third-grader’s winning design earned her an Apple iPad and a $500 gift certificate, both provided by Bethpage Federal Credit Union, the presenting sponsor of the Arts Alive Long Island Festival.
The island-wide poster contest was hosted to help celebrate the upcoming second annual Arts Alive LI Festival to be held this October.
