Celebrate the nautical heritage and artistic talent of Port Washington at the 21st Annual HarborFest Dock Day and Craft Festival. Sponsored by the town’s Chamber of Commerce, the event features more than 100 vendors plus an abundance of activities for all ages. Visitors to HarborFest (in past years there were an estimated 12,000 of them!) can hop a free shuttle to the heart of the excitement if they use the LIRR to get there.
Children can meet Captain Courage and the Maritime Pirates, hang out in the Tugboat Children’s Fun Park, or sample the mounds of delicious food on sale in the Food Court. Everyone will enjoy watching model boat regattas at Baxter’s Pond, showing off their family at the stage and talent show, and exploring the Manhasset Bay, Then and Now exhibition in the Tugboat Museum. Nautical singers and entertainment will be everywhere, while the crafts show beckons with a delightful array of creations by locals artisans. There will be free stagecoach rides, trolley rides, and kayaking adventures, plus cruises on Manhasset Bay for a fee. Don’t leave without checking out the art in the park, the P.A.L. Family Field Day, and the Enviro-Expo for all things green.
Make it a day on the waterfront of beautiful Manhasset Bay – a day of fun and camaraderie and building community.
