Here’s an idea whose time has come: A popular Upper East Side pediatric practice that has been serving the community for over thirty years, Global Pediatrics, has apparently become the first neighborhood group of city doctors to introduce regular evening hours.
The office, located on 1559 York Avenue near East 83rd Street, is now open on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights, from 6:30pm until 10pm, by appointment only.
“We are a service-oriented practice,” says Global’s Dr. Judith Goldstein. “So if we can spare our families a visit to the emergency room or to an unknown walk-in clinic, we’re glad we can do it.”
Goldstein reports that the night hours are already getting quite busy. “When you have a sick child, you want to see your doctor,” she adds. “That’s the story.”
