From carnivals to spectacular sleepovers to the re-appearance of King Tut in Times Square, this weekend has tons of great offerings for families. Check out some of our favorites! — This weekend, we’re particularly excited about the spectacular, weekend-long Park Avenue Armory Carnival, the fall festival at Randall’s Island Golf Center, the 8th Annual Open House NY celebration, the Discovery Times Square Exposition’s Pharoah’s Family Weekend and Kids Day at the NY Comic Con Festival. If you feel like grooving to some tunes, Randy Kaplan will perform at Symphony Space, while the Deedle Deedle Dees take the stage at 92Y Tribeca. Theater buffs of all ages will love the Queens Theater’s performance of "Rumpelstilskin" and the Manhattan Children’s Theater’s performance of "Rapunzel."
