ALL WEEKEND (NOVEMBER 18-20)
It’s your last chance to see All-American at the Lincoln Center Theater this weekend. For tweens and up, this play
tells the tale of twin brother and sister who struggle for the spotlight in
their suburban family. No show on Sunday.
The TADA! Youth Theater resident ensemble will perform musical numbers
from its upcoming season in a special Sneak
Peek revue.
Free face painting and fun galore awaits tots at the Museum of Motherhood’s Holiday
Fair. The weekend will feature Stella & Dot, artist Jo Jayson plus
other jewelry and clothing vendors.
Kids can become an astronaut (for a day) at the opening of “Beyond
Planet Earth: The Future of Space Exploration” at the American Museum of Natural History. This exhibit presents a recreation of Mars’
surface, equipment from past space missions and a ready-to-explore lunar
habitat. Opens Saturday.
It’s time for trains, trees and treats during the kick-off weekend of the 20th
Annual Holiday Train Show at the New York Botanical Garden. Watch model trains whiz by replicas of New York landmarks, which have been crafted out of plant
pieces. Opens Saturday.
Angelina Ballerina is back for the opening weekend of The Very Merry Holiday Musical at
the Vital Theatre Company. This festive rendition will surely put the whole
family in the holiday spirit. Opens Saturday.

celebration of slime, IckyFest.
Kids can touch creepy, crawly critters and learn the science behind life cycles.

It’s an Arthur
Christmas kind of weekend. On
Saturday, attend a 3-D preview screening at the Museum of the Moving Image.
Then enjoy the Sony Pictures celebration of “The
9th Day of Arthur Christmas“ at
the Staten Island Children’s Museum on Sunday, which will include sneak peeks
of the movie, craft projects and live music by the Wahoo Skiffle Crazies.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19
Support HelpUsAdopt.org’s cause by attending the organization’s Second
Annual Family Fun Day, which will feature a screening of Happy Feet (with plenty of popcorn)!
Put those detective skills to the test during the New York City Police Museum’s Junior
Detective Day. Kids ages 5-14 will solve a mystery using crime scene investigation
techniques like fingerprinting.
Join musician Keller Williams for a family
concert at the Brooklyn Bowl, which will delight fams with exciting
visuals, whimsical songs and a super cool drum circle.

CMOM. Former mayor Ed Koch, who based the book on his childhood experiences of
being bullied about his weight, co-wrote the story with his sister.
