Cambuyón at the New Victory Theater
Like a Spanish version of "STOMP," in "Cambuyón" the performers of the Enlace S.C. troupe make music on everything from wooden crates to a tiny matchbox. Hailing from Barcelona and the Canary Islands, this energetic ensemble fuses hip hop, drumming, and body percussion to create unique rhythms revealing African, Spanish, Irish, and American influences. New York Family Camp Fairs- Brooklyn & Manhattan
This weekend the city's largest Camp Fairs will be in Brooklyn and Manhattan. BAMKids Film Festival 2015 at BAM
The BAMkids Film Festival is back for its 17th year! This weekend, the fest will screen 74 films from 30 countries, including a selection of short films plus the feature film “On the Way to School,” a documentary about the challenges that four children face when traveling to school. After the screenings, children can stop by the café for balloon-making, animation workshops, magic shows, face-painting, food, and much more. (Saturday-Sunday) -
Josh and the Jamtones at Symphony Space
Come to Symphony Space to jam with this “interactive dance party kids band” hailing from Boston. Josh and the Jamtones’ sound has been compared to a mash-up of Bob Marley, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and Jack Johnson. (Saturday) -
New York Theatre Ballet: "Cinderella" at Florence Gould Hall
Ages 3 and up will have a ball at the New York Theatre Ballet’s production of “Cinderella” this Saturday and Sunday. Choreographed by Donald Mahler and featuring the costumes by Sylvia Taalson Nolan, this one-hour ballet is the perfect length for little ones. They will especially enjoy the dancing clock! "Things That Go Bang!" at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College
Explore the percussion family at “Things That Go Bang!” the first performance in the Little Orchestra Society’s LolliPops Spring Concert Series.
