Thinking Tree Learning Center, recently opened in Sheepshead Bay, offers group and private tutoring for students in Brooklyn. It also offers Gifted & Talented exam and citywide exam prep, homework or project help, and extracurricular activities in chess, Russian, computers, and creating art portfolios for admittance into art school.
Each student’s tutoring curriculum, created by a New York state certified teacher,
is tailored to his or her needs to improve weakensses and maintain strengths.
Thinking Tree Learning Center understands that each child is unique and learns at a different pace. That’s why it has various tutoring options for children in kindergarten through eighth grades, including hands-on learning. “We teach children through hands-on activities,” says Polina Ioureva, owner and instructor. “We try to make learning fun so children don’t dread it.”
Thinking Tree offers group tutoring for children who learn better in a social environment, private tutoring with a customized curriculum—created by New York state teachers—to improve students’ weaknesses while maintaining their strengths. Aslo offered are group and private test preparations for the Gifted & Talented exam and citywide exams for entry into neighborhood elementary, middle, and high schools.
The learning center has a room dedicated to homework, or even project, help staffed with tutors who can help in any school subject. It also offers extracurricular activities, such as Russian, chess, and computers, as well as an art program to help develop children’s creativity and imagination, portfolio creation, and entrance exam prep for admittance into art schools.
