It might still be pretty cold outside, but one chilly treat that never goes out of season is ice cream. And no one proves this better than CoolMess, a new ice cream shop on the UES where kids and parents alike can create their own original ice cream concoctions.

To make your own flavor, first pick the base (vanilla or chocolate), choose among the dozens of mix-in toppings, put it all in the ice cream machine, and watch the magic happen.

Ice cream lovers can follow one of the store’s “messipes” or customize their own creation. When you’re done, you can hang out at the shop’s communal table and check out their selection of gelato and baked goods. CoolMess also hosts parties and events.
