SpaceFest celebrates the opening of the Intrepid’s Space Shuttle Pavilion and its newly acquired Space Shuttle Enterprise. The festival kicks off Wednesday night with a free state-of-the-art concert on the Flight Deck, before opening the new Space Shuttle Pavilion to the public on Thursday with a Grand Opening Ceremony (free with admission). In honor of SpaceFest, The Intrepid’s summer movies series then continues with Star Trek on Friday night.
All weekend from Thursday through Sunday, NASA will present more than three dozen exhibits, displays, and educational demonstrations to honor aeronautics and space exploration of the past, present, and future. Attendees can also mingle with current and former astronauts!
Admission: $30 for adults, $22 for children ages 7-17, $16 for children ages 3-6, free for kids younger than 3. Save $2 per person if you purchase your tickets in advance online.
